Garment Care
Heavy cotton rewards a little care. Treated well, these pieces soften and improve with wear.
Washing
- Machine wash cold, at 30°C or below, on a gentle cycle.
- Turn each piece inside out to protect the print and the surface of the cloth.
- Wash with like colors. Washed and faded pieces can release a little dye at first, so wash them separately the first few times.
- Do not bleach. Do not dry clean.
Drying
- Hang or lay flat to dry where you can. It keeps the shape and the weight of the fabric.
- If you tumble dry, use a low heat.
Pressing
- Iron on a low setting, inside out.
- Never iron directly over a print.
Raw edges
Raw-cut hems and armholes are meant to fray, and will soften into a finer edge over the first few washes. Trim any long loose threads with scissors rather than pulling them.
Washes and fades
Mineral and sun-fade finishes vary from piece to piece and will keep developing with wear and washing. That is the point of them.
